Joseph Chamoun
Darlington Ecological Corridor
Joseph Chamoun is the Coordinator of the Darlington Ecological Corridor in Montreal, where he leads community-based ecological initiatives that connect biodiversity, public engagement, and urban resilience. His work brings together community organizations, institutions, and local residents to create greener, more connected urban spaces through planting projects, environmental education, citizen participation, and collaborative stewardship. He also serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors of Grand Potager, extending his leadership in community-based environmental work.
With a bachelor’s degree in biology and a master’s in environment and sustainable development from the University of Montreal, Joseph works at the intersection of ecology, community engagement, and urban sustainability. He is especially interested in how nature and public green spaces can act as common ground, bringing people together and helping communities grow stronger, more connected, and more empowered.
