How can parks, open space, and community centers be proactively planned as hubs for resilience, public health, and climate adaptation—before a crisis hits? This Peer Conversation invites practitioners to explore how long-range parks planning can center climate justice, equity, and systems thinking to build more resilient communities. Participants will discuss the successes and limitations of various strategies and tools—such as GIS-based equity mapping, anonymous mobility data, and interagency collaboration—for prioritizing vulnerable communities, integrating resilience goals, and building public trust through transparent and inclusive processes.
