Kate Pearce is the Executive Director of Dix Park for the City of Raleigh, where she oversees the planning, operations, and stewardship of the 308-acre urban park. She played a lead role in developing the park’s Master Plan and has helped bring to life community-loved features like the recently opened Gipson Play Plaza, annual sunflower field and Dreamville Festival. Prior to her work with the city, Kate was an urban planning and business management consultant, with projects spanning the U.S. and abroad.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and an MBA from Millsaps College, and a master’s in City and Regional Planning from UNC-Chapel Hill. A proud “Texsippian”—part Texan, part Mississippian—Kate now calls Raleigh home. She is a passionate advocate for the role of urban green spaces in fostering vibrant communities and improving citywide well-being.
