Dara Murray

Director of Learning & Evaluation
Trust for Public Land

Dara Murray (she/her) is the Director of Learning & Evaluation at the Trust for Public Land where she helps to demonstrate outcomes and increase community impact. She has a talent for synthesizing complex data and presenting it in an accessible and useful way. Dara’s approach is participatory and collaborative, prioritizing transparency and learning in evaluation rather than focusing only on the numbers. Before joining TPL, she most recently served as the Director of Research & Impact Analysis at the United Way of Central Maryland. Dara holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science from Drew University and a Master’s in Public Policy from Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health where she concentrated in nonprofit management, program evaluation, and continuous quality improvement. In her free time, Dara loves to say “yes” to her three nieces, move things in her garden, and hike slowly. She has called Baltimore home since 2010, but will always be an NJ-native at heart.
