Downtown Dallas Parks Conservancy
Sarah Hughes is Executive Director of Downtown Dallas Parks Conservancy, where she leads strategy, operations, partnerships, and the stewardship of transformative public space investments in the urban core. Since joining the nonprofit in 2018, she helped advance the implementation of Dallas’s Downtown Parks Master Plan and has played a leadership role in the development and opening of Pacific Plaza, West End Square, Carpenter Park, and Harwood Park—turning former surface parking and underused sites into a network of neighborhood parks.
A Dallas-based nonprofit leader with a passion for cities, placemaking, and partnership-building, Sarah Hughes has spent her career advancing projects that strengthen the public realm. Prior to joining the Conservancy, she managed operations and communications for the Dallas Arts District Foundation, where she supported master planning, special events, fundraising, and district-wide communications.
