Ryan Mottau

Ryan Mottau is an expert in public service planning who has prepared a wide range of strategic, master, and system plans that develop and improve community facilities, organizations, and policies—from infrastructure and streetscapes to parks and recreation to social services and education—for public, private, and nonprofit clients around the country.

For Ryan, each project is a puzzle with specific issues: some pieces are missing, or some players aren’t at the table, or some pieces must be crafted with new or existing resources. As the Director of Digital Engagement for MIG (migcom.com), Ryan creatively adapts and applies community engagement and data collection tools to test community priorities, evaluate services and programs, and gather valuable input for action-oriented decision-making.
