Rebecca Swift

Rebecca Swift is the Operations and Development Director for the City of Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department, where she oversees park operations, capital projects, and strategic planning across five service areas, including the City’s urban greenspace and urban forestry divisions. With over a decade of experience in environmental restoration and natural resource management, she is committed to balancing ecological stewardship with high-quality recreational experiences.

Prior to her current role, Rebecca served as Natural Resources Coordinator, managing more than 1,600 acres of parkland and 40 miles of trails. In this role, she led restoration initiatives, secured grant funding, and advanced GIS-based asset management systems. Her work emphasizes sustainable practices, community engagement, and data-informed decision-making.

She holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree from the Indiana University O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs and is a graduate of the Indiana Watershed Leadership Academy.
