Rebecca Blume Rothman is an artist and the Public Art Manager at the City of Tempe, Arizona. With over two decades of experience as an artist, educator, and leader in Public Art, Rebecca’s professional focus is on creating unique experiences in unexpected places. In her current role, she oversees a program that includes Art in Private Development projects, Capital Improvement Art projects, Neighborhood Art Grants, and Temporary Public Art initiatives. The most recent completed projects include artist and design team partnerships where artworks are incorporated into transit shelters, park amenities, and recreation facilities to create landmarks within the city. Rebecca’s work within Public Art has received awards from the National Endowment for
the Arts, the National Terrazzo Association, Arizona Forward, and Americans for the Arts. Her personal artwork includes drawings, paintings, and performance art with recent exhibitions at the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art and the IDEA Museum.
