Peggy Turner

Peggy Turner’s career working in adapted sports, recreation and community wellness inclusion programs spans over four decades, mostly in Houston, Texas.

Peggy is the Athletics Community Liaison & Adapted Sports and Recreation Community Programs Coordinator for TIRR Memorial Hermann in Houston, one of the Nation’s leading rehabilitation and research hospitals.

She previously worked for a US Olympic and Paralympic Training Site in Birmingham, AL managing sport and recreation programs for youth and adults with disability and injured military personnel.  She’s worked for two municipal parks and recreation departments in Texas, City of Houston and City of Pasadena for cumulative 25 years developing accessible facilities and programs for people with disability.
