Lana Denkeler

Lana Denkeler serves as a Project Manager for the Austin Parks Department, leading the City’s team to deliver a world-class park and trail system downtown as part of the public-private partnership between the City and the Waterloo Greenway Conservancy.

Prior to joining the Parks Department in 2019, Lana worked at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, developing and testing the Sustainable SITES Initiatives v2 Rating System for sustainable land design and development, and is a resource for the Department as it implements SITES at-scale across multiple park projects in the City and on the Waterloo Greenway.

Lana holds a master’s degree in landscape architecture from the University of Texas Austin with 15 years of experience in land design and planning in the Austin area.
