Kenneth Allen

A Houston native, Director Allen has more than 38 years of experience in parks and recreation, including 33 years dedicated to HPARD. Under his leadership, HPARD has achieved national reaccreditation and revitalized dozens of neighborhood parks, transforming them into vibrant community hubs. Known for his strategic vision, he has forged impactful partnerships with organizations like the Houston Astros, Memorial Park Conservancy, and Buffalo Bayou Partnership to enhance park access and quality. His commitment to equity, sustainability, and community engagement ensures Houston’s parks serve all its residents.
