Teaching Artist
Friends of the Highline

Justin is an arts educator, community facilitator, ceramicist and musician living in NYC. In his artistic practice and his teaching, he focuses on migrations of people and exchanges of materials and ideas to piece together how and why we live the way that we do.

At The High Line, he designs and teaches multidisciplinary art courses at nearby public schools and with the High Line’s Emerging Fellows teen program. As the lead facilitator for the High Line Network’s ‘Community First Toolkit’ workshops, he’s worked with more than 50 park professionals to address inequities and shape public spaces that bring tangible benefits back to their neighbors.

He was a 2025 Ceramic Artist in Residence at The Pottery Workshop in Jingdezhen, China, a 2025 Merit Scholar awardee at the Art Students League of New York, and a four-time Lower Manhattan Cultural Council arts education grantee.
