Adam Kaniewski
City of Madison Parks Division
Adam Kaniewski, PLA, is the Planning and Development Manager for the City of Madison Parks Division. In this role, he oversees park system planning and capital improvement projects to provide the ideal system of parks to residents. Included in his work is the administration of parkland dedication and park impact fee policies. The City of Madison has a goal of producing 15,000 new homes from 2025-2030, with at least a quarter having long-term affordability. Working in a fast-growing municipality, he commonly confronts the paradox between housing priorities and reserving land for park spaces in his day-to-day work.
Adam holds a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture and Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is a registered Landscape Architect in the State of Wisconsin.
