Join a City Parks Alliance Board Member and fellow attendees on an informal, fast-paced activity in Austin.
This is not a guided tour, but rather an opportunity to connect, learn more about City Parks Alliance, and network with other Greater & Greener participants while getting some fresh air before the conference day starts.
Enjoy a beautiful sunrise walk along the Ann and Roy Butler Trail as we make our way to Butler Metro Park. Along the route, we’ll cross the S. 1st Street Bridge, take in views of the Fannie Davis Town Lake Gazebo and the Austin skyline, pass the memorial statue of blues legend Stevie Ray Vaughan, cut through Auditorium Shores, and arrive at the scenic Butler Metro Park. The park is full of highlights, including the Alliance Children’s Garden, Doug Sahm Hill, and plenty of peaceful spots to relax. Grab a friend and explore the park before we head back to the hotel!
Please note: This is a rain-or-shine activity, except in the event of severe weather. Walk & Talks are 60 minutes in length and subject to change. Bring your reusable water bottle and wear sunscreen.
