Member-Exclusive Discussions

City Parks Alliance offers its members exclusive opportunities for urban park practitioners who are engaged in similar work across the country to connect with each other.  These collaborative conversations among peers promote practical knowledge-sharing and best practices, often eliminating the need to start from scratch to address a problem or to re-invent the wheel to find a solution.

City Parks Alliance convenes regular peer-to-peer conversations, some focus on topics of shared interest and are open to all members, while others are conversations among comparable organizations in different cities.  Three peer groups meet regularly, including:


Nonprofit Park Operators

Organizations that operate, steward, program, and fundraise for specific parks.

Citywide Park Nonprofits

Citywide organizations that raise funds for, advocate on behalf of, or build capacity and support for parks.

Funders Learning Network

Grantmakers and philanthropic advisors who invest in parks, green infrastructure, and recreation.
