As the Environmental Policy Manager for the City of Austin’s Watershed Protection Department, Leslie specializes in the intersection of environmental policy, urban ecology, and climate resilience. With a deep background in biological sciences and geography, she leads complex regulatory initiatives that include water quality and environmental protection.

Her career is rooted in a commitment to environmental stewardship, having served as Conservation Director for The Trail Conservancy and managed large-scale production for JBG Organic Farms. She holds a B.A. in Biology from Reed College and is expanding her expertise through a Master of Science in Sustainability, Security, and Resilience at Ohio University.

Beyond policy, she is an ISA Certified Arborist, a Texas Master Naturalist, and a passionate cyclist. She is a dedicated advocate for Austin’s natural landscapes with a lifelong passion for conservation.
