There’s something magical about fresh air, open skies, and the freedom to roam. But for many urban communities, access to nature is limited—whether by distance, lack of experience, or tight city budgets that make developing outdoor spaces a challenge.

That’s where the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department steps in. We believe everyone deserves the chance to connect with nature, and we’re working hand-in-hand with cities across the state to make that vision a reality.

Hop aboard our experiential mobile workshop and discover how Texas is investing in vibrant city parks, creating inclusive outdoor programs, and sparking a love for nature across generations. You’ll explore innovative community models, learn how sustainable parks are built and funded, and leave inspired to help shape greener, healthier urban spaces.

Let’s reimagine what’s possible—because life is better when nature is just around the corner.

Note: Participants should have the ability to hike various terrains. Accessibility accommodations are available upon request.
