When designed and managed intentionally, parks can reduce social isolation, bring together people across lines of difference, and foster a shared sense of belonging. Discussion leaders will explore what makes a park feel welcoming, inclusive, and connected and how park design, programming, and maintenance practices all play a role. The session draws on the Common Ground Framework, which helps teams build strong social foundations through public space.
