Jason Su
Common Place Practice
Jason Su is the Founder and Owner of Common Place Practice, a San Jose-based consultancy providing strategic support for placemaking initiatives and social enterprises that strengthen community belonging. With over 15 years of experience in environmental design and equitable development, Jason has contributed to award-winning projects across San Francisco, Oakland, and San Jose.
He previously served as Executive Director of the Guadalupe River Park Conservancy, overseeing the strategy and restoration of a three-mile downtown park segment. Jason is a Distinguished Visitor with Stanford’s SEERS program, a fellow of Harvard’s Young American Leaders Program, and a former urban planning faculty member at San Jose State University. Jason specializes in leveraging urban design. civic institutions, and community entrepreneurship to create nurturing, resilient shared spaces.
