Kelly Johnson
DC Department of Parks and Recreation
Kelly serves as the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) Compliance Inspector at DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) completing park audits. Prior to this current role, she completed her doctorate capstone project at DPR assessing accessibility and inclusivity factors of their 100+ playgrounds. As an occupational therapist, she brings a community-centered health promotion approach to her current role. Prior to transitioning to healthcare, her educational background consisted of environmental science and wildlife research. This combination of experiences in the environmental field and in healthcare has resulted in a passion for equitable access to green space and the positive outcomes this access can result in. Kelly holds a Clinical Doctorate in Occupational Therapy and a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Society with a concentration in Environment and Society.
