Nick Jabs
PORT
Nick Jabs is an Associate Principal at PORT, where he leads the research, design, and implementation of complex public realm projects across the country. His work focuses on transforming overlooked, contested, or underutilized places into vibrant civic spaces that support gathering, play, and community life. Drawing on his dual training as a registered architect and landscape architect, Nick brings an integrated, multidisciplinary perspective to projects that span large regional parks, urban frameworks, and site-specific public spaces.
A Midwesterner at heart, Nick approaches his work with both pragmatism and empathy, collaborating closely with communities, public agencies, and interdisciplinary teams to align vision with implementation. In addition to his professional practice, he teaches and leads research initiatives exploring the evolving role of public space. He has taught studios at the University of Pennsylvania, Utah State University, and the University of Delaware, and was named a Fellow of the Landscape Architecture Foundation’s Fellowship for Innovation and Leadership.
