Todd Burley

Todd Burley is the Sustainability Advisor at Seattle Parks and Recreation, where he works with internal staff, other city departments, and external partners to advance their Thriving Environment Initiative. Todd has a decade of experience coordinating efforts on climate mitigation and adaptation, sustainable park management, waste diversion, and biodiversity.

Previous to this role he directed communications in the public and nonprofit sectors. He stewarded Seattle’s involvement as a Role Model City for the UNEP Generation Restoration initiative, recently supported SPR’s acceptance as a UN World Restoration Flagship program, and helped Seattle’s Seward Park in being the first municipal park to receive the international Green Flag Award.

Todd has a degree in Advocating Sustainability and a Masters in Environmental Studies and lives with his wife, three boys, two cats, one dog, and four chickens in Bellingham, Washington where he volunteers as a park steward and on the board of his kids’ school.
