Parks are increasingly recognized as critical infrastructure in the face of climate change. A resilient park is not just a green space—it is a system that protects communities, supports biodiversity, and adapts to environmental and social stressors. This Peer Conversation will explore how resilience can be embedded in park design, planning, and implementation.
Participants will hear case studies and engage in discussions around five key themes: defining the role of parks in resilience, quantifying benefits to secure funding, implementing resilience within existing programs, navigating hazard complexities, and nature as a stakeholder.
