As more people head outside to enjoy nature in urban parks, whether hiking, biking, fishing, or just relaxing, there’s growing pressure on natural spaces that are already stressed by climate change, habitat loss, and overuse. At the same time, access to outdoor spaces is essential for public health, community well-being, and economic vitality. How do park managers and stewards strike a balance? This Peer Conversation will explore how we can protect ecosystems while still supporting meaningful and equitable recreation.
