Do you work for a nonprofit that manages multiple parks but is not citywide park nonprofit like a city parks foundation? This special peer conversation is intended for what we call “tweener” nonprofits — larger than individual park conservancies but not operating on a regional or citywide scale.
These often include nonprofits that manage greenways organized along bodies of water, Olmsted park networks in a given city; or downtown business improvement districts and other organizations that manage several parks.
Join our Austin hosts and discussion leaders from The Trail Conservancy — which operates, maintain, and programs the 10-mile Ann & Roy Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail and almost 300 acres of parkland that make up the Town Lake Metropolitan Park — and peers from around the nation to share challenges, opportunities and advice while getting to know others who work in this unique urban park role.
Note: This Peer Conversation is a closed session for nonprofit leaders and staff only and is not available to general conference participants. If you represent a nonprofit that manages multiple or linear parks, please add your name to the waitlist. Conference organizers will regularly review the waitlist and notify those who are moved into the session or are ineligible to attend so they can register for an alternative.
