Daniel Millikin

Daniel Millikin is the Executive Director of Willow Waterhole Greenspace Conservancy in Houston, where he leads the stewardship and activation of hundreds of acres of wetlands, prairie, and forest. His work centers on building a strong approach that combines conservation, public access, and long-term organizational health.

With a background in horticulture, environmental education, and nonprofit leadership, Daniel focuses on helping individual-park conservancies grow from grassroots efforts into stable, effective institutions. His experience includes governance development, partnership building, community engagement, and translating vision into practical, on-the-ground results.

A ninth-generation Texan, Daniel brings a grounded, long-term perspective to conservation leadership and is regularly engaged in peer conversations about emerging conservancy models, leadership transition, and sustainable growth.
