Diana Colangelo joined City Parks Alliance in 2019 and currently serves as Assistant Director of Programs. Diana manages several of CPA’s programs, including workshops, webinars, peer-to-peer conversations, technical assistance work in cities across the country, and other capacity-building initiatives designed to strengthen cross-sector park partnerships.
Prior to joining City Parks Alliance, Diana worked for over six years as a Projects and Policy Specialist for the City of Burlington, Vermont’s Community & Economic Development Office. She provided technical assistance to businesses that were starting or expanding in Burlington, and worked on policies, issues, and projects affecting business and economic vitality in the city.
Diana received her Master of Public Administration from the University of Vermont in 2010. Before moving to Vermont, she worked for nearly three years as a housing advocate and case manager for homeless individuals in Cambridge, Massachusetts at a nonprofit called HomeStart, Inc. Diana received her bachelor’s degree in English and sociology from Boston College in 2005.
Diana’s favorite city park is Waterfront Park in Burlington, Vermont, where she has enjoyed many a concert, food festival, relaxing afternoon with friends, and gorgeous sunset over the Adirondack Mountains.
