Report
St. Louis Park Study Tour (June 2023)

St. Louis has been transitioning from the legacy of its manufacturing economy for several decades. New investment in parks and trails—focusing on access, equity, and connectivity—has played a vital role in revitalizing its downtown and neighborhoods.

From June 1-3, 2023, thirty-four parks professionals from across the country joined our St. Louis Park Study Tour.  Participants had a first-hand view of St. Louis’s innovative approaches to improving the park system and the quality of life for city residents.

Special thank you to our hosts Forest Park ForeverGateway Arch Park FoundationGreat Rivers Greenway, Tower Grove Park, and Explore St. Louis for helping to coordinate the tour and sharing their insights.

The St. Louis Park Study Tour was supported by the Crawford Taylor Foundation and Agency Landscape + Planning.
