If you missed the City Parks Research Lab at Greater & Greener 2024, you can catch some of the highlights in this webinar! The Research Lab featured organizations that shared new research, tools, and practical guidance for park practitioners on a variety of topics. This webinar will feature innovative research and ideas from the Research Lab, including:
- PlayCore will share playground trends, tips for considering the whole child in playground design, and how cities have utilized information from their Center for Outreach, Research, and Education (CORE).
- Trust for Public Land will share their research on park benefits related to community and civic engagement, democracy, and social connection, and will share examples of park organizations that are offering these opportunities.
- Park People will discuss their findings from qualitative research efforts that demonstrate a connection between well-being and time in nature, particularly when engaging in park stewardship activities.
