Washington, D.C. (July 1, 2026) – At City Parks Alliance’s June Board of Directors meeting, the board elected two new members. The board also elected a new Treasurer and board committee leaders, while recognizing several board members for completing their board service.

Erin Lonoff (Minneapolis, MN) is a Partner at HR&A Advisors, a leading real estate, economic development, and public policy consulting firm with a mission to create resilient, equitable, and thriving communities. Drawing on her background in urban planning, economics, and real estate, Erin works with cities, conservancies, and regional agencies to move park investments from vision to implementation. Her practice focuses on translating this conviction into action: developing sustainable operating and funding models and governance and partnership strategies that enable parks to be built, maintained, and operated over the long term and to be community assets that support broader city development.
Erin holds a Master’s in City Planning from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Carleton College.
Bruce Matheson (Miami, FL) is the President of Friends of Biscayne Bay, a non-profit citizen support organization that focuses on supporting the health and prosperity of the Biscayne Bay Aquatic Preserves. Bruce is a longtime Miami-Dade environmental advocate and steward of some of South Florida’s most historically significant public parklands. A lifelong Miami resident, Bruce has dedicated decades to protecting and preserving Miami-Dade County’s natural areas, waterfronts, and public parks for future generations. He is widely recognized for his leadership and advocacy surrounding Crandon Park and Matheson Hammock Park, both of which were established through historic land donations by the Matheson family and remain an enduring part of Miami-Dade County’s environmental and civic legacy.
Bruce has also played a significant role in advancing and defending legislation designed to hold designated public parklands in trust for the enjoyment of future generations.
The Board of Directors also elected Eric Landau, President of the Brooklyn Bridge Park Corporation, as board Treasurer, replacing Jesse Brackenbury, who has completed his three-year term in the role. Jesse was elected as the Audit Committee Chair.
Additionally, Chad Kaufman was elected Co-chair of the Development and Membership Committee.
City Parks Alliance also bids a fond farewell and heartfelt thanks to several long-serving board members completing their terms: Brad Dick, Jill Valdes-Horwood, Lauren Taylor, and Leon Younger. Together, their 25 years of service helped strengthen the organization, grow its membership, and shape the Greater & Greener conference programming.
