Riley Piva
DC Department of Parks and Recreation
Riley is a Community Planner with the DC Department of Parks and Recreation managing the planning portfolio for the agency. Over the last year in her role, she has focused on park access and maintenance, multipurpose green infrastructure in parks, and federal grant management. Riley uses an equity lens to analyze all of the Capital Projects team’s work, ensuring that greenspace and accompanying amenities are accessible for all District residents and visitors.
Prior to joining DPR, Riley was a Climate Resilience Analyst at the DC Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency and worked on climate hazard mitigation for the District’s critical infrastructure assets. She also managed HSEMA’s resilience data portfolio and supported the sustainability of the region’s food supply chain.
Riley holds a Master of Public Policy and a Bachelor of Environmental Policy from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
