Abby Oliveira is the Senior Land Use and Sustainability Planner at Longwood Collective in Boston, MA, where she advances climate resilience, sustainable development, and open space planning for one of the city’s most vital institutional districts. She holds a Master of Science in Environmental Science with a focus on natural resources and environmental management.

Abby leads the Longwood Sustainability Committee, convening environmental leaders from 22 world-class institutions, including Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School, to collaborate on district-wide sustainability efforts. She authored Longwood’s first modern Open Space Resilience Framework, a strategic guide that positions open space as critical infrastructure for climate resilience, public health, and community well-being. Her work bridges technical planning and stakeholder collaboration to help build a greener, more resilient urban future.
