Lannie McClelen

Lannie is a registered landscape architect with over 20 years of experience designing vibrant spaces where people and nature thrive. She is leading the implementation of the SWMD Harry Hines Green Corridor and Park, a project that connects health and nature through sustainable, evidence-based design.
Her career spans public, private, and nonprofit sectors, including roles with the City of Fort Worth Parks and Recreation Department and SWA Group. She has worked on projects ranging from corporate campuses and resorts to arboretums, medical districts, and public parks. Lannie has also taught landscape construction at UT Arlington and created outdoor learning spaces for underserved schools through Out-Teach.
Since joining Texas Trees Foundation in 2020, she has advanced projects that address urban heat, public health, and equity. Lannie holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in landscape architecture from Texas Tech University and the University of Texas at Arlington.
