Rukmini Kalamangalam

Rukmini Kalamangalam is a Program Specialist at the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA). In her time at NRPA, Rukmini has focused on elevating park and recreation staff leadership through hosting the Guardians of Greenspaces podcast, managing and expanding NRPA’s annual Parks for Pollinators BioBlitz campaign, supporting park-based recycling, and more.

For the last year, she has coordinated NRPA’s park and recreation based youth workforce development advisory panel, resulting in the creation of NRPA’s Youth Workforce Development Framework as well as a virtual learning series with over 1500 views. She is passionate about resourcing and engaging around youth through workforce development in parks and recreation.
