Layla George is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in fundraising, board development, external relations, conflict resolution, strategy and execution of organization vision and mission.
During her successful seven-year run leading Olmsted Parks Conservancy, she increased annual giving by 250%, tripled public funding, expanded the staff, diversified the board, and helped develop and execute a new strategic plan. The toughest and most rewarding project she had was closing an $8 million gift, enabling the organization to expand Cherokee Park for the first time in over 100 years with the acquisition of Beargrass Preserve. She loved working with park neighbors, elected officials, and a rockstar team to improve the historic and beloved Olmsted Parks.
She is currently serving as Project Executive for the redevelopment of the Belvedere in Louisville, a 5.5 acre waterfront park that will undergo a $150 million transformation.
