Adam Forman

Adam Forman serves as the Assistant Director of Raleigh Parks, where he oversees Capital Planning, Greenways, Downtown Parks, Arts & Culture, Dix Park, Historic Resources & Museums, and Communications.

Before joining the City of Raleigh, Adam spent seven years in leadership roles within the New York City government. As Senior Advisor to the Deputy Mayor for Housing, Economic, and Workforce Development, he launched key initiatives such as the $90 million Small Business Opportunity Loan Fund, the nation’s first minimum pay rate for delivery workers, and the Commercial Corridor Recovery Taskforce.

Prior to that, Adam was the Chief Policy Officer in the NYC Comptroller’s Office, where he spearheaded a number of significant transportation and urban space reforms.

Adam earned a Bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from Colgate University, where he was a member of the track and cross country teams, and a Master’s and PhD from the University of Washington (Seattle).
