Neama is a Graduate Research Assistant at the Center for Urban and Regional Affairs at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. For the past two years, she has worked on the Stories of Connection project, which explores the deep relationships between communities and nature, with a focus on the Black community in North Minneapolis. She believes in the interconnectedness of our relationships with the land, ourselves, and one another. Her passion lies in the transformative power of storytelling to inspire hope, create meaning, and pave the way for truly community-based and community-driven research.
Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Comparative and International Development Education at the University of Minnesota, Neama is committed to expanding her capacity for conducting research that is both impactful and grounded in care, reciprocity, and place.
