Tessa Cannon

Tessa Cannon joined City Parks Alliance in 2025 and serves as the Administrative and Office Manager. Prior to joining the Alliance, Tessa worked in international humanitarian aid for 8 years as a project manager. She supported global grant acquisition and management efforts and worked on improving operational efficiency across the global organization. She has been a longstanding volunteer for a variety of local environmental groups across the greater Washington, D.C., area and is thrilled to continue these efforts at City Parks Alliance.

Tessa received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from California Baptist University and her Master’s degree in Public Policy from the George Washington University. She is from Redondo Beach, California; however, she has called Arlington, Virginia, home for the past 8 years. She is an avid book lover and enjoys spending her time in nature or at local coffee shops.
