The Parks and Recreation Capital Improvement Project Coordinator, with direction from the Deputy Community Services Director – Parks and Recreation, Parks Manager and the Landscape Architect, is responsible for facilitating and leading a diverse program of more than $60M in capital improvement projects for the Parks and Recreation Division of the Community Services Department. Projects are identified through a robust program of asset management and planning. The Capital Improvement Project Coordinator takes a “cradle to grave” approach to CIP projects and is responsible for coordinating projects from inception and budgeting, into public outreach, design, and permitting, through construction and to completion.  This position acts as the liaison to the Engineering CIP Section, Neighborhood Services, City Council, Boards and Commissions, and City of Tempe community members for all Parks and Recreation CIP projects.
