BerryDunn is seeking a Parks and Recreation Consultant to join our Local Government Practice Group. Project work will include professional consulting services for the public sector, including in areas of project management, recreation programming, recreation assessments, and client and community engagement. You will work with a mix of high-performing teams in areas focused on Parks, Recreation & Libraries, offering a variety of projects in a fast-paced environment with many opportunities for career growth. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with many different stakeholders within local government. This can be a remote or in-office position.
Travel Expectations: Willingness to travel 35-50%
Responsibilities
You will:
- Assist in providing consulting services to clients under the supervision of more experienced consultants on strategic plans and master plans, organizational assessments, recreation assessments, and additional PRL reports
- Conduct research and analysis on demographic and recreation trends using a variety of data sources.
- Interpret data and create written reports that effectively communicate insights and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other members of the team, including data analysts and subject matter experts, to ensure accuracy and completeness of reports.
- Perform assigned administrative tasks.
- Assist with project management tasks, such as tracking and reporting project progress, maintaining project document repositories, and reviewing deliverables for quality assurance.
- Provide ad hoc assessments and briefings in response to client requests.
- Continue to grow professionally through a program of self-development and formal continuing professional education programs.
