Atlanta has emerged as a national leader in advancing urban parks through bold investments, strategic park partnerships, and inter-agency collaboration. The city has made trailblazing moves to grow and enhance its already-impressive network of parks and urban green spaces, leading to new parks like Shirley Clarke Franklin Park and Rodney Cook Sr. Park, and the expansion of the Beltline, and historic Piedmont Park, as well as the ambitious Stitch project decking over I-75/I-85. “As a leader in urban park innovation and green space management, with substantial investments in green infrastructure, accessible recreational programs, and sustainable landscapes, Atlanta is proud to welcome passionate leaders, advocates, and park experts from across the country to the Greater & Greener 2028 conference,” said City of Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens.
